Open source
The parts that other people must be able to trust are the parts that must be readable.
Verification code, data formats, and export tooling belong in the open. A guarantee you cannot read is a slogan.
Contribution is governed by the same principles as the rest of the world: stated scope, named accountability, no silent policy changes.
- Formats, verifiers, export tools
- Permissive for formats and clients
- Named maintainers, public decisions
- No open-washing: we will not claim openness for a closed core.
- No contributor licence that transfers more than is needed.
