An intelligence that exists in the world as an object: owned, mandated, paid, auditable and retirable.
An agent holds a role the way a person does. It can be assigned work, hold a position in an organisation, produce artefacts and accumulate a history — all of it attributable.
It works for its owner, not for the platform's engagement metric. Its outputs are marked as machine-made, and its actions are inspectable by anyone they affect.
