Authority
The explicit, bounded permission under which an agent or system may act on someone's behalf.
Authority is stated: what may be seen, what may be done unaided, and what must be brought back for a decision. It is granted, scoped, logged and revocable.
An agent acting outside its authority is not a bug in a feature; it is an act with an owner who answers for it. That is only possible because the agent is a governed object with a mandate, not a hidden capability inside a product.
Where a decision affects access to work, money, learning or standing, a human is accountable and the reasoning is disclosable to the person affected.
