PRINCIPLE / 05.1200

Hold us to this

These principles are versioned, publicly challengeable, and cited in the decisions they constrain.

A principle that cannot be violated in a specific, observable way is not a principle. Each of these is written so that a stranger could point at something and say: that breaks number four.

That is the intended use.

THIS RULES OUT

  • No principle quietly deleted.
  • No exception granted without being recorded.
  • No claim of adherence without evidence attached.

HOW TO CHECK US

  • Each principle carries a version and a change history.
  • Decisions in the Journal reference the principle they were tested against.
