The published articles the architecture is built to obey, with stated consequences and an open amendment process.
Constraints written down before the power exists, so that violating them is visible. Each article costs revenue a conventional company would take — a constraint you would never have been tempted to break is not a constraint.
Amendment happens in public, slowly, with a challenge window and a record of who changed what and why.
